A growing concern to every teacher is the matter of cheating. Admittedly an ugly word, its widespread practice indicates that it is acquiring an alarming degree of respectability. This is an intolerable situation, for cheating, in any of its many forms, is wrong and must be punished. <
So that there is no confusion, let us enumerate the most common acts of cheating.
- Copying homework. Probably the most widespread act of scholastic dishonesty, it is nonetheless cheating.
- Providing information or materials for another student to copy. (this is exactly what we here are doing.) The student who makes test information available to another student to copy is equally guilty of cheating.
....For a first offense, you will receive no credit for the work, and be excluded from class for three days of unexcused absence(zero for all work missed and no make-up) and be assigned to the Planning Center for 3 days. For a second offense, you will fail for the marking period, and your parents will be notified....
