One day, long ago in the back roads of the south,
over the bumpy roads of the dirt paved roads
I remember..........
the wispy old man sitting, holding a bunch of fresh flowers on his lap
as we traveled the long windy road to town.
Across the aisle, in this old beat up bus,.
sat a young girl whose eyes came back and back again
over and over to the man's flowers.
The time came for the old man to get off. Impulsively,
he thrust the flowers into the girl's lap.
"I can see you love the flowers, " he explained,
"and I think my wife would like for you to have them.
I'll tell her I gave them to you."
The girl, with a glow of pride, smiled, and accepted the flowers,
then, watched the old man get off the bus and walk
through the gate of a small cemetery.
You never realize the value of a gift, until you realize
it's a gift from the heart.
this wasn't made by me, but I don't remember who did...so I dub it "anonymous". This doesn't require any explanation, just read it.
